Best Conditions in the French Alps for Years
An brilliant early December start to the season just seems to be going
on and on. Clear sunny skies over Christmas and the New Year have now
started to dump snow, and it looks like the same for at least another
week.
January and ski holidays have never really attracted crowds of people, so
why not take advantage of the cut price deals and the fabulous snow
conditions? Wash away the New Year hangovers. Escape the gloomy skies of
home and take a week off clocking up the mileage on uncrowded pistes....

Early Snow in the Alps Forms Firm Base for Season
With good snowfalls already forming a base above most French resorts, a
lot of fingers are crossed in the hope that last year's false start won't
be repeated. At the moment that looks unlikely as more snow is forecast
for the week end.
With three weeks to go before the season starts business is warming up as
the Alps cool off. All of the catered chalets on the Ski Jungle Agency are
now full up for the New Year week - there are still some self catered
apartments and chalets available in Val d'Isere. There are also some
catered chalets available for the big half
term weeks in mid February but they are going fast.

Pre Season Ski Holiday Bookings for 2007/8 Coming in Fast!
If you want to get the best ski chalets for next season, now is the
time to book for New Year and Half Term.
With another six weeks to go before the end of this ski season it seems
remarkable that people are already booking for next year 2008.
"Nearly all of the catered chalets on our books are full up for next
Half Term and most have gone for New Year already", says the Ski
Jungle Chalet Agency's chief, Simon Dewhurst. "People call up apologising
for jumping the gun and enquiring about chalets, and I tell them that they
are doing nothing of the sort!".
"They do, but are still leaving a short break or a week's skiing till the
last minute. Now that half term is over the grown ups are either asking
for last minute deals leaving tomorrow, or looking for chalets for
February next year", says Dewhurst "It's all a bit bizarre, but anything's
possible in the ski business - even pink snow..."

Last Minute Ski Holidays in France - Before the Half Term Invasion
With the UK school Half Term fast approaching, now is the time to book
a last minute ski holiday in the Alps.
The French Alps are gearing up for the annual influx of British skiers and
snowboarders who will be clogging Geneva Airport and the approach roads to
the Tarentaise ski areas from February 12.
Simon Dewhurst who runs the Ski Jungle Chalet Agency says "Snow conditions
are holding well in all the main resorts, including Meribel, Courchevel,
la Plagne and les Arcs and there's some rock bottom ski deals to be
had in quality catered chalets from Feb 5".
If you like luxury, there is a five day break available in the fabulous
Chalet Guanaco, Meribel, from February 7. This exclusive catered chalet
nestles in the famous Belvedere area and is 50 metres from the piste. With
five well appointed bedrooms sleeping ten, it is offering five nights for
a knock down £5000, which is half the normal price. With top a class
service and food to match this is an opportunity you can't miss.
For a last minute ski holiday a little less luxurious, try the charms of
Courchevel la Tania across the mountain from Meribel. The fourteen bed
Chalet Balkiss, a stone's throw from the lifts and the village centre, has
dropped the February 4 price from £539 to just £199 per person. Fully
catered, and with superb views, all the rooms have en-suite bathrooms and
there's a sauna and jaccuzzi to ease those aching muscles after a hard
day's piste bashing.
"There's no way prices are going to be this low again" says Dewhurst," and
if you want the mountain to yourself, go now!"

Ski Jungle Puts Catered Ski Chalets Squarely on French Map
Simple online brochure allows visitors to find ski accommodation without trawling through dozens
of sites.
Ski Jungle has just launched its online brochure for the coming season.
This one stop site now makes it easy for skiers to choose their perfect
catered ski chalet holiday in the French Alps.
"Skiers want to make an informed choice from a
good selection of on-the-page ski accommodation", says Ski Jungle's
Simon Dewhurst. "They don't want to slash
their way through a thicket of individual websites! We've now got 250 catered chalets and
300 ski apartments in all the
top resorts. People can reach any of them in a couple of
clicks and stay on site - that's a good start."
Ski Jungle's website maybe an easy-to-view shop window but skiers still rely on
conventional means to give advice on the ski resorts and take bookings.
"A skiing holiday is not just about snow. It's about the resort, the
conditions and above all, the skiing accommodation", said Dewhurst.
"Skiers are pretty savvy about what they want, but on the
whole still look for someone to talk to for up to date info on a
ski resort or chalet before they book - even if it's only the low down on
the food. We can offer independent
advice, and above all give them the best value for their money".
