Chalet Maison de l'Abbaye
Maison de l'Abbaye is a modern-fitted ski chalet close to Morzine
and La Grande Terche ski areas. Formerly a mill for the Abbaye, we are
situated just a short walk from the Dranse River, in the beautiful
village of St Jean-d'Aulps.
The Main Chalet consists of an entrance lobby area with bench seat and
large radiator, stairs leading to information area with broadband
internet access.
Massive (60sqm) open plan living area which includes, a modern fully
fitted kitchen with double fridge (drinks and ice dispenser), double oven
and 5 ring hob, hood and dish washer.
Dining area with large table, seating for 14. Sitting area with open
fire. Doors leading to balcony.
The Bedrooms
The Main Chalet sleeps up to 16 people across the 3 floors. There
is an additional Studio sleeping 4, making 20 beds available in all.
Bedroom 1 (sleeps 4-6); Two bunk beds, Ensuite shower room with double
shower, sink and toilet. Mezzanine with double bed for extra sleeping.
Television and DVD. Doors to balcony.
Bedroom 2 (sleeps 4): 2 single beds that can be used as one double, 1
bunk bed, Bathroom with bath, shower, double sink and toilet. Television
and DVD player. Doors leading to balcony.
Hallway with stairs to Playroom
Large area (30sqm) with Television, Play station and other games. The
playroom also has a fold-away sofa bed.
Bedroom 3 (sleeps 2) 1 double bed. Ensuite shower room with luxury
shower, sink and toilet. Television and DVD.
Bedroom 4 (sleeps 2) Two single beds. Ensuite shower room with luxury
shower, sink and toilet. Television and DVD.
Bedroom 5 Ready Winter 05/06 (sleeps 2) Two single beds (or one double).
Ensuite shower room with luxury shower, sink and toilet. Television and
DVD.
Playroom With large television, Play station and DVD plus other games. The
Playroom also has a Sofa Bed that can sleep 2.
Arrangements can be made for total or part occupancy of the chalet on a
bed and breakfast, self catering or fully catered holiday.
Food and Drink
There are several catering options
Self-Catering
Meals can be organised for our self-catered accommodation in the studio.
We can also stock food for the week upon request. Self-catering clients
must book either the whole of the Main Chalet or the Studio.
Bed and Breakfast
For breakfast you can choose from either a cooked 'English' breakfast
with all the trimmings or have a continental buffet consisting of
croissants, fresh bread, and a selection of cereals, fruit and yoghurts.
Breakfast is served between 8.00am and 9.00am. (flexibility available on
request). B&B guests can either take the whole Main Chalet, the studio or
on a per room basis.
Catered
Breakfast as above, plus... Dinner which is normally served around 8.00pm
for all guests. If families would like their children to eat earlier then
this can be arranged. A wholesome two course meal with wine will be
served each evening except on Wednesday, where we will be happy to
recommend a local restaurant. Catered guests are on a per room basis.
