Chalet la Tangara - Courchevel la Tania
Chalet Tangara is located on the edge of the blue piste "Les Folyeres"
returning to La Tania, just a short way from the village centre making
access to the slopes very easy for skiing in the vast area of the Three
Valleys.
Chalet Tangara sleeps 12 adults in 6 bedrooms plus up to 3 additional
kids' beds in the attic floor room. A private sauna facility is also
provided for the use of our guests with free use during your stay.
Ski-in/ski-out is possible in normal snow conditions. The chalet is a few
minutes walk from the village centre with it's bars and restaurants
including the popular "Ski Lodge" with live music and organised fun and
games each week and the "Telemark Hotel" which is very close by.
The lounge has a log burner and doors leading to the large terrace area.
There is seating around the fire in the lounge area plus the dining room
with Hi-Fi system and DVD player.
Downstairs, there is space for ski and boot storage in the ski room which
can be accessed from outside the chalet.
Towels and linen are supplied and each room is comfortably furnished with
ample storage space, electricity points and heating
Accommodation is divided over four floors:
Basement:
Sauna facility, ski and boot room
Ground Floor:
Living room with log burner and dining area
Twin bedroom with en-suite bath, sink and WC
Public WC in hallway
1st floor:
4 twin bedrooms each with en-suite half-bath with shower over and sink
2 WC's on landing
Attic floor:
Low ceiling (c. 1m70) attic room with twin bedroom and space for up to 3
child beds under the low eaves
Bathroom with half bath and shower over, sink
The Food
We believe that the standard of the food is too important for the chalet
staff to decide so we don’t give our staff a budget and leave it up to
them to cut corners! We can cater for all types of special dietary
requirements – including vegetarian, gluten free and child menus with
many products imported from England to suit the tastes of the British
kids. We serve bottled wine which is of a good standard – and in
unlimited supply throughout the meal.
Apart from the traditional porridge, cereals and continental breakfast
including fresh baked warm croissants, we also include a full cooked
English breakfast with bacon, sausages and baked beans to keep the real
traditional taste …. a great way to start the day.
And when you return from skiing, our afternoon tea will satisfy those
hunger pangs with French bread and home-made cake in plentiful supply! |
