Chalet la Isabelle
Chalet Isabelle is a recently renovated, traditional Savoyarde chalet
rebuilt on a stone base which dates back to 1842. The chalet has
character but has been renovated to a high standard to make it an idea
cosy chalet for families and groups.
The chalet sleeps up to 17 people in 7 en-suite bedrooms and we
offer exceptional value child prices for children in the family rooms!
Our new chalet is located in the village of Le Pre, one of the hamlets
forming the beautiful resort of Valmorel. It is right opposite the start
of the lift system and the piste making it ski-in, ski-out (if you don't
count just crossing the road!) in normal snow conditions.
We now have a hot tub!
A bus stop is also located outside the door for the shuttle bus
serving the resort of Valmorel so it is easy to access the shops and
restaurants of the lively, traditional village centre.
There is a comfortable lounge/dining room with hi-fi system, X-box games
machine and video. Balconies and terraces overlook the superb mountain
views across the valley linking the Tarentaise and Maurienne Valleys.
All bedrooms have carpet, room heating, electrical points, mirrors and
storage space. Towels and linen are supplied - towels are changed
mid-week or on request to your chalet hosts. Room layouts are as follows:
3 double en-suite
2 twin en-suite
1 triple room en-suite
1 en-suite family room with double bed and bunks
Additional child beds possible in some rooms (subject to overall capacity
of the chalet)
The Food
We believe that the standard of the food is too important for the chalet
staff to decide so we don’t give our staff a budget and leave it up to
them to cut corners! We can cater for all types of special dietary
requirements – including vegetarian, gluten free and child menus with
many products imported from England to suit the tastes of the British
kids. We serve bottled wine which is of a good standard – and in
unlimited supply throughout the meal.
Apart from the traditional porridge, cereals and continental breakfast
including fresh baked warm croissants, we also include a full cooked
English breakfast with bacon, sausages and baked beans to keep the real
traditional taste …. a great way to start the day.
And when you return from skiing, our afternoon tea will satisfy those
hunger pangs with French bread and home-made cake in plentiful supply! |
