Chalet Montet was built in the summer of 2003. It is a traditional
Savoyard timber structure finished to a high specification.
We’ve created a cosy, yet contemporary feel to the chalet which has
six bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms.
Under floor heating throughout all of the ground floor and a large
open fireplace ensures that you and your ski boots stay warm and toasty
before the next days skiing! Sliding-glass doors at one end of the
sitting room open out onto wooden decking.
Five of the bedrooms have balconies of which four have mountain views
and one has a river view. The modern kitchen has ample storage space with
a large dishwasher, fridge, freezer and range cooker. Although open plan
there is a separate TV snug area where one can watch digital TV and DVDs.
Ground Floor
Utility room with washing machine and dryer. Heated garage area with ski
and boot racks. Separate loo and basin. Open plan kitchen and dining area
(sits fourteen). Ample sofas in the in the sitting room and TV areas.
First Floor
Four Bedrooms (twins or doubles) with en suite bathrooms and balconies.
Small bedroom with bunk beds.
Second floor
Two bedrooms (twins or doubles) with en suite bathrooms and one balcony.
The Skiing
Our 2 chalets in Vallorcine-Le Buet (see Chalet Buet) offer nursery
slopes out side the door to some of the most exciting off piste runs
finishing back at the chalet. In between there is cross country ski
trails all over Vallorcine.
The most important development since the railway was built through
this beautiful valley is the recent construction of an eight person
telecabine which will link us directly with the Le Tour ski area.
Snow permitting you will be able to ski down to the lift from the
chalet or take the train from right outside the house arriving at the
bottom of the lift two minutes later. |
