The Chalet
New traditional Chalet Shufu was built in 2003 to the highest of
specifications. Super location getting sunshine all day. We are in easy
walking distance to the small resort centre of St. Jean d'Aulps and only
10 minutes from the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area centred around
Morzine.Chalet Shufu is ideal for short breaks, being less than 1 hour from
Geneva, and because we have no definitive change over day.
The Bedrooms
All Chalet Shufu's bedrooms, accommodating up to 14 guests, have en suite
facilities and either balconies or skylights:
2 Twins/Doubles
2 Family Rooms (double + single bed)
Family Suite (double + connecting bunk-bed room)
• Large living and dining area with bar and opening/closing log fire
• Several French windows leading onto sun-facing balconies and terraces
(smoking areas)
• Separate satellite TV and DVD lounge (selection of 300+ dvds)

Food and Drink
We know the high quality of FOOD on any holiday is essential to its
overall success. Food quantity on a skiing holiday is another concern. We
take great care to ensure you'll NOT be disappointed in any way.
Breakfast is cereals/porridge, yoghurts, fruit, croissants, baguettes,
butter, spreads, ham, cheese, orange juice, tea and coffee.
Dinner consists of 4 courses with coffee and chocolates to finish; either
traditional English, French cuisine, or some guaranteed interesting and
delicious authentic Asian specialties!
Not forgetting for some perhaps the aperitifs, house wines (or beers
recommended for spice lovers), and digestifs on offer each dinnertime.
NB: on the Kitchen rest-day guests are able to try one of the local
restaurants in the evening, of which St. Jean d'Aulps boasts "the best in
the valley"!
Nanny Service
We are able to arrange professional care for your children at a local
nursery right next door to Chalet Shufu.
The cost of one days child-minding is only €34.
This is for up to 8 hours/day at any time (except Sat AM) between 9:00am
and 9:00pm
We drop children off at the crèche with our own little ‘Thomas’ in the
mornings and you are then free to pick up after getting back from the
slopes.
It’s easy and they love it!
