Chalet le Grand Duc One of Méribel’s best kept secrets, ‘Le
Grand Duc’ is superbly situated to benefit from all the facilities
Méribel has to offer. In a quiet position at the bottom of the George
Mauduit piste, you can ski to and from the front door and be at the
main lifts and Ski School meeting points, just 150 metres away, in a
matter of seconds.
The Olympic ice rink, swimming pool and other leisure facilities are
close by and shops, bars and restaurants are only a short walk away. At
the end of the day, after enjoying your 'aprés ski' you can return to
the chalet on a blue run.
We have two catered chalet apartments in 'Le Grand Duc', 'A' sleeping
8/10 and 'B' sleeping 6/8, and for the larger party you may book both.
Apartment A
Chalet Apartment ‘A’ sleeps eight in comfort and has four twin /
double bedrooms, three with en-suite facilities and one separate,
and is ideal for families, groups of friends or for the individual
skier. If one party books the whole accommodation there are two
additional sofa beds on the mezzanine.
The spacious and welcoming living room with its log fire and west
facing balcony has splendid views of the surrounding mountains.
A hi-fi system, games and books are provided and cots, mattresses and
high chairs are available for very young children.
Apartment B
Chalet apartment ‘B’, just across the hall, is furnished in a very cosy
style and sleeps up to six adults or four adults and four
children. Ideal for families, groups or individuals who may be looking
for a quiet and more exclusive holiday, it has two double bedrooms, one
with en-suite bathroom and one with a separate shower, washbasin and
w.c.
Additionally there is a bunk room with four large bunk beds which is
comfortable for two adults or four children.
The part pine clad, well furnished living/dining area has a south
facing balcony and lovely views of the valley towards Mont Vallon.
A hi-fi system, games and books are provided and a cot, mattress and
high chair are available for very young children.
