The Chalet


La Credence is family-owned by Mike and Joan Haddock and run by them, their daughter Nicola and her partner Andy. Joan has a lifetime experience both of cooking professionally and catering for large numbers. She is passionate about fresh food and the benefits of home cooking.

Although Mike has cast off his career as a chartered accountant in favour of the outdoor life, his stated intention is to utilise his business acumen to bring you the best value for money on your holiday with us. Nicola is also an experienced cook and she and Andy have spent years caring and catering for people from all walks of life.

Location

The chalet is located approximately 10 minutes walk from the the centre of Morzine ensuring perfect peace away from the noise of the town. We provide a complementary minibus service which is always on hand (just give us a call on your mobile) to transport you to and from the slopes or into Morzine in the evening. In addition the navette (free bus service) stops right outside our door and takes you straight to the many ski slopes.

Accommodation

We have a choice of accommodation available for guests. The chalet has 5  rooms sleeping 10 guests as follows:

Bedroom 1 Double bed with en suite shower and WC
Bedroom 2 Twin beds with the option of an extra bed
Bedroom 3 Twin beds

Note that bedrooms 2 and 3 share a room with WC and hand basin and a room with shower, toilet and hand basin.
Bedroom 4 Double bed with en suite bath/shower and WC
Bedroom 5 Double bed with the option of an extra bed, plus en suite bath/shower and WC.

Note: Bedroom 5 is a larger room with separate access

Food

Food (and drink!) is obviously integral to the enjoyment of your holiday and as such, we take pride in presenting food that is fresh, imaginative - and filling! Breakfast is served between 07.30 and 08.30 and consists of eggs, yoghurt, fresh fruit, pastries and bread which will set you up for an energetic day on the slopes!

On your return, afternoon tea (one of Joan's specialities!) will be waiting and will comprise a selection of home made cakes and freshly baked scones, served with home made jam. As well as tea and coffee, you may prefer the option of a soft drink or beer from the honesty bar. It is worth noting that mixer drinks are also available for those wishing to add something to their spirits!

Take time out for a shower and a rest by the fire before sitting down to a three-course dinner plus cheese board and coffee, which is served between 7.30 and 8.00 pm, accompanied by an excellent house wine (personally researched!). Note that Joan prides herself on offering a broad range of vegetarian dishes.

For those who still have the energy, the bars and nightclubs in Morzine are easily reached within a few minutes, either by car or our complementary minibus service, or you may prefer to linger over coffee in front of the open fire.

Note that the staff night off is Wednesday when only breakfast will be provided. We can recommend several restaurants, or you may prefer to take pot luck
