The Food
Good wholesome tasty food and great wine play a big part in the enjoyment
of staying at La Savoyarde and although we’re not Gordon Ramsay and
Nigella Lawson, we really enjoy our food, especially French food, and
take a pride in personally preparing and cooking each meal ourselves to
the highest standards.
We strive to offer a traditional French menu (not
always regional) and wherever possible we use local and seasonal
ingredients, buying our produce from regional suppliers.
A delicious four course dinner is served in the evening (except Wednesday
- we will recommend a selection of restaurants) including a starter, main
course, desert, cheese platter, tea or coffee with petite four and of
course house wine (red or white French table wines specially selected for
thier taste and palatability).
Note that we have a choice of premium
wines at an additional cost.
Good food and wine can only get better when served and eaten in a
comfortable environment so all your meals will be taken in our dining
room which is furnished with solid pine furniture, soft lighting and
tasteful decorations giving the room a relaxed and cosy feel.
