Chalet Ariondaz
- a comfortable chalet in Meribel - 10 beds |
 |
|
Chalet Ariondaz is situated in the main resort of Méribel. The
Meribel tourist office, bars and shops are just a 300 metre walk. With
four bedrooms the compact design affords adequate comfort for eight
people however the two cabin rooms each provide ten beds in total.
Although facilities can accommodate ten guests it must be advised that
comfort will be compromised by the occupancy of ten adults in seating and
room space in general. Price reductions for the full ten adult
occupations are available to three of the rooms i.e. four of the adults.
However for families with young children the staggered meal times for
adults and children and the smaller bodies in the cabin rooms ease the
restricted room space and seating/facilities.
To ease those daily aches and pains there is a sauna and Jacuzzi hot tub
situated in the lower ground level shared with the adjoining chalet
Mont Vallon. There are child and time
restrictions on these facilities. This chalet sleeps 8/10 persons
individually or can be booked with Mont Vallon for large groups of up
to 20 adults and children.
The open plan living and dining area has a log fire, Freeview Sky
TV/video, CD player and phone for free local outgoing calls and
international incoming calls. The South West facing balcony from the
lounge provides a clear view of the Meribel Valley.
All rooms have en-suite facilities with a Jacuzzi bath to room one and
showers to the remaining three. The middle two rooms have a second
washbasin to assist when third person cabin occupancy arises. The upper
bedroom number four has a height restriction to the shower and bedroom in
general. This room together with the two cabin rooms are subject to a
price reduction for adults.
The Meribel main lift area at la Chaudanne is a short bus ride away,
taking a few minutes and with the bus stop being situated immediately
outside the chalet accessing the pistes could not be easier.
The Food
The cuisine is described by our guests as being of good quality and
more than enough quantity!
Start the day with a selection of porridge, cereals, yoghurts and
locally fresh baked bread and preserves. You can also enjoy a choice of
cooked eggs with a daily accompaniment of one of the following: bacon,
sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms or beans.
On your return from a days skiing, you will find afternoon tea for you to
help yourself, consisting of a freshly baked cake or biscuits together
with tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
Your dinner comprises three-courses complimented with selected French
wines followed by coffee and chocolates. The farewell evening meal on
Friday evening is
accompanied by a complimentary bottle of port.
Wednesday is our host's day off - continental breakfast will be delivered
with fresh bread, croissants and pain au chocolate. Afternoon tea will be available as usual
and your evening meal will be at
a local restaurant which we will be delighted to recommend.
Tea, coffee and fresh fruit are always available for you to help yourself.
Children’s Meals - younger children normally eat earlier - we suggest 18.00–18.30.
