Part of the Portes du Soleil ski circus including Morzine,
Avoriaz and Champery across the Swiss border, les Gets is a busy
little village full of Savoyarde harm where nearly all the skiing accommodation centres
around the two main streets where there is plenty of activity in the many
bars and restaurants.
The skiing is very good for beginners and intermediates with some
interesting advanced runs. There are now some new high speed lifts
running from the village to connect with the rest of the Portes du
Soleil.
Les Gets is one of the closest ski resorts to Geneva being only 45
minutes from the airport, and is a popular week end skiing destination
for Northern Europeans.
