Ski Chalets in Alpe d'Huez |
The
ski resort of Alpe d'Huez is the largest in the southern French Alps and under
an hour's drive from Grenoble airport. Together with four satellite villages (Vaujany,
Villard Reculas, Auris and Oz), it is part of the Grande Rousses ski area with
an impresssive 220 kilometres of piste.
The all round skiing and snowboarding
will suit everyone. There is little queuing for lifts except at weekends and the
standard is especially good for intermediate skiers. The top run down from the
Sarenne glacier is one of the longest black runs in the Alps, and there are
interesting runs down to Vaujany, Auris and Oz.
